TBaze is a British afrobeats/afrofusion singer and songwriter, born and raised in Osun State, Nigeria. He moved to the UK at age 16 and began his music career in 2017, with debut single “Carry You” which landed him on BBC Music Introducing. TBaze has so far collaborated with award winning artists and producers including Jojo F, Ortzy, KBeatz, Grammy nominated spanish Duo, Alkilados and and many more.
When asked, he describes his music as feel-good music rooted in african sounds, giving listeners a groovy and uplifting vibe. TBaze has just released his anticipated debut E.P, titled ALUBARIKA (Blessings) The E.P. This is an 8-track body of work, following up to his recent singles ‘Monkey’ and ‘Vibe’.
The title track ‘Alubarika’ is the first song on TBaze’s new ALUBARIKA E.P where TBaze tells his story, counting his blessings as he faces challenges of everyday grind. He sings in a combination of English and Yoruba “when I wake up in the morning, Alubarika I dey pray for, I progress on my journey, I beg, guide my ways, kinri batishe, kin rono gbegba”.
As TBaze says, no matter what our differences, we are all on a journey.Tthis song is his prayers and affirmation for blessings. He believes part of being blessed is the ability to believe, see your progress and count the blessings, no matter how big or little.
