Dice Ailes, born Shasha Damilola Alesh on August 1, 1996, is a Nigerian-Canadian singer, songwriter, and rapper known for blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and R&B. Originating from Lagos, Nigeria, Dice began his musical journey at just 15 years old before honing his craft at York University in Canada. His diverse sound and unique style have helped him stand out in the vibrant Nigerian music industry.
Dice Ailes gained widespread recognition in 2016 with his hit single “Miracle,” produced by CKay and featuring Lil Kesh. This breakthrough track helped establish him as a promising artist in Nigeria’s music scene.
In 2022, he released his debut EP Ladies First, which showcased his versatility and solidified his place among top emerging Nigerian artists. After a short hiatus, Dice returned in 2024 with the single “Dicey Baba,” sampling Fela Kuti’s classic “Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense,” followed by the 2025 release “Towa,” a song that narrates a university love story.
Beyond music, Dice Ailes serves as a National Youth Ambassador for Sports in Nigeria, a role he assumed in 2018. This appointment highlights his influence and commitment to youth development and societal progress beyond the entertainment space.
