Making Jump To Our Beats LagosJump Radio
Music has always lived inside Faith.thecreator. From her earliest days, the rhythm of life was already guiding her head and heart. Born Faith Agholor and raised in Lagos, this talented artist is now making waves in the Nigerian music scene with her unique voice, infectious energy, and deep connection to sound.
In this exclusive feature, LagosJump Radio shines a light on Faith’s musical journey, her inspirations, and her place in the vibrant world of Afrobeats.
From the age of one, music shaped Faith’s life. Her mother recalls how she would nod to sounds in her sleep—clearly destined for the stage. “Music is spiritual,” Faith tells us, “and it’s that spiritual inspiration that led me to follow music seriously.”
Faith credits her influences both locally and globally. “Runtown, Burna, Minz, and Future have all impacted my sound,” she says. These artists helped shape her storytelling, but it’s her voice and spirit that make her stand out.
Faith’s latest release, On My Money, is a dance anthem inspired by today’s new sound wave. It’s upbeat, catchy, and made to get you moving. It perfectly reflects Lagos’s vibrant pulse and Faith’s evolving creativity.
Lagos has been more than home—it’s been Faith’s foundation. “The city has influenced my sound and lyrics in countless ways,” she explains, even though she doesn’t speak fluent Yoruba. Being part of Nigeria’s ever-growing music scene is a source of pride. “We are just emerging, and I’m 100% here for it.”
“My sound and my voice,” Faith says. “That’s what sets me apart. I have stories to tell and a vibe to share.” Her music offers more than entertainment; it offers connection—something listeners can feel deeply with just one play.
Despite the excitement, Faith highlights a real challenge for rising artists: funding. “Funds open doors,” she says honestly. Still, the biggest lesson she’s learned is that “talent is never enough.” That perspective continues to shape her approach to the industry.
Yes, Faith writes all her music. “My songwriting process varies. Sometimes it starts with a melody, other times with lyrics,” she explains. While her style hasn’t drastically changed, her confidence and creativity continue to evolve.
Fans should get ready—new music is coming before the end of the year. And who would she love to work with? “Runtown and Burna,” she says without hesitation.
If you’re new to Faith.thecreator, she recommends starting with 1234. “I like the song, and I think they will too. It’s the perfect first listen.”
Off-stage, Faith has another creative skill—barbering. “I like to cut hair,” she says with a smile. And in five years? “I see myself performing internationally.”
