From Parisian Streets to Nigerian Rhythms

Born to Nigerian parents in Paris, Asa’s love for music blossomed early.  Surrounded by a rich collection of soul classics from Marvin Gaye to Fela Kuti, she found inspiration and honed her vocal talents.  At 18, she returned to Nigeria, reconnecting with her roots and setting the stage for her artistic evolution.

A Parisian Debut and Global Success

Back in France, Asa pursued her passion for music.  She met her manager, Janet Nwose, who introduced her to the talented producer Cobhams Asuquo.  Together, they crafted Asa’s debut album, aptly named “Asa (Asha),” a platinum-selling success story.  This release launched Asa’s career, with her music reaching hearts across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

A Voice for Change and Artistic Exploration

Asa’s music isn’t just catchy – it’s meaningful.  Her lyrics touch on themes of love, social justice, and self-discovery.  Throughout her career, she’s released critically acclaimed albums like “Beautiful Imperfection” and “Bed of Stone,” each showcasing her artistic growth and powerful vocals.

A Collaboration of Stars: “V” and Beyond

Asa’s latest album, “V,” released in 2022, features exciting collaborations with Nigerian superstars like Wizkid and The Cavemen.  This venture highlights her willingness to experiment and explore new soundscapes, keeping her music fresh and engaging.
