Eniola Akinbo, known professionally as Niyola, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, performer, and actress.

Early Life

Born on December 9, 1985, in Lagos, Nigeria, Niyola grew up singing in church with her siblings. Inspired by a Funmi Adams concert, she decided to pursue a career in music.

Career Beginnings

In 2005, Niyola began her professional music career and was briefly affiliated with eLDee’s Trybe Records. Later, she signed a production deal with Make Sum Noise Entertainment. Her first singles “Me n U (In Da Club)”, “No More”, and “Dem Say” were released under this label.

Signing with Empire Mates Entertainment

In 2012, Niyola signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment. On May 22, 2013, she released her single “Toh Bad”, her first under the label.

Discography

Niyola’s self-titled debut album, “Niyola,” was released in 2008. The album showcased her talent and versatility as an artist.

Filmography

In 2021, Niyola made her acting debut in the movie “Swallow.” Her performance was well-received by audiences and critics alike.
