He spent many years playing in his father’s band before eventually rising to super stardom following his father’s death in the late ’90s.
Femi Kuti borrowed the best elements from his father’s powerful prototype such as funky and jazzy, this version of Afro-beat is the most exciting new sound to emerge from Nigeria for years.
